Private Childbirth Classes (In English) / Weesp & Surroundings


This one-on-one childbirth preparation course is tailored to your specific questions and wishes. Just for you, or with your partner. With my background as a psychologist, pregnancy coach and a certificate in HypnoBirthing®, I can create a course in tune with your specific situation and needs. In English. 

I recommend starting the course between 20 and 32 weeks of pregnancy, so you still have time to process and practice the exercises. The location of the course is at my own practice in Weesp (close by Amsterdam, Driemond, Muiden, Muiderberg, Naarden, Bussum, Nederhorst den Berg, Nigtevecht, Laren, Blaricum).

Private Session,
one-day birth prep

3 hours


A one day private session in which you (and your partner) are completely prepared for the birth of your baby. You’ll learn all about the physiology of birth, how to cope with pain, simple breathing and relaxation techniques, connecting with the baby and several birth positions. You’ll receive a detailed hand-out so you also can practice at home.

Pregnancy, Birth & Beyond Course

3 x 2 hours


In this comprehensive course I’ll provide you (and your partner) with easy and effective tools, techniques and exercises with a sense of empowerment which can last into motherhood. We elaborately discuss the process of birth and its phases, coping with pain, breathing techniques, birth positions and movements. We also discuss the important role of the (birth) partner to support you and we’ll pay focussed attention to the postpartum period: the golden hour,  breastfeeding, skin-to skin contact, your recovery and more. You’ll receive a detailed hand-out and access to meditation and affirmation audio files.

Hypnobirthing ®-Course THE MONGAN METHOD

5 x 2,5 hours


HypnoBirthing® is a stress-free birthing method which uses self-hypnosis and relaxation techniques to help a woman feel physically, mentally and spiritually prepared to give birth to her child. The course teaches how to stay relaxed, alert and in control. Your birth partner (husband, friend, sister) will learn techniques and ways in which they can be very involved. As a team, welcoming your baby into the world together.

In a very effective way HypnoBirthing® reduces awareness of fear, anxiety and pain during childbirth. You’ll learn how to use self-hypnosis to take yourself into a deep relaxation (whilst still being totally in control and alert), effective breathing and massage techniques, visualisation and positive thinking. After the course you’ll receive the book HypnoBirthing® The Mongan Method – Marie F. Mongan, access to hypnosis-exercises and birth affirmations, and a detailed hand-out.
